Jesse Elizondo, Lead Pastor

My Testimony

My sophomore year in college, 1998, I met a Campus Crusade Staff at a Billy Graham Crusade in San Antonio who invited me to his bible study group. There he shared about the holiness of God, my inevitable separation from Him due to my sin and the Savior who alone could bridge that gap and restore me into an intimate and personal relationship with Him. It is then that I had faith.

Charlie Matlock - Family Pastor

Testimony:

I was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as a young child.  I walked away from church and living my life for Christ when I was a teen.  After witnessing a murder in the big city I returned home, to a small town, and found my true home in Him in my 30’s.  I have walked closely ever since seeking to bring Him glory in all I do.

Ministry/Education Background:

I have served in many different ministries as a layman for many years from children’s ministry all the way up to men’s ministries including being an Interim Youth Pastor.  Between my wife, Christian, and me we have a total of 15 years experience in working with youth.  We have been facilitating DivorceCare in local communities for the past 4 years.

I am currently pursuing a seminary degree from Andersonville Seminary out of Georgia.

Jennifer Lamprecht - Community Impact / Volunteer Director

Testimony

I discovered my need for a Savior when I was 8 yrs old and have been pursuing Him since.  My relationship with Him has developed through a journey of life not devoid of struggle.  In every phase of life, however, God has proved himself sovereign through it all.

I have been blessed with 3 children: Seth, Slone and Johanna.  They are the highlights of my life.

I’m passionate about music, the fine arts (in general), serving our military men and women, and working with children. I’ve grown up in Gonzales and have invested much time and love into this community.  I also enjoy bringing the hope of Jesus to others through missions and mentoring relationships.

Ministry/Education Background

I have been a part of the worship ministry at Two Rivers Bible Church since 2009.

I graduated from SWT class of 2001 with a B.S. in Health Information Management.

Hobbies/Interests:

Favorite things in the whole world: singing, exploring new places, watching movies, reading and working out.

J. Kyle Schröeder - Worship Leader / Media Director

Testimony:

I was born in Lee Summit, Missouri but raised for most of my life in Texas. I don’t remember ever learning much about God when I was little, but my mom’s always been a believer. I had attended some church as a youngster. I remember arguing with my mom as a young teenager when she tried to convince me that God was real. I believed in the so-called “evolution theory” taught in school and thereby was sure that there was no God. Then I finally succumbed to my mom’s pleas for us to go to church with her. Not long after going there and beginning to be introduced to playing worship music we went to youth camp where I truly accepted Christ at 16. I’ve had many ups and downs since then. In my late teens and early 20’s I had a difficult time wavering in my walk with Him even with having served as a volunteer worship musician and singer for a total of 7 years. After I met and married my amazing wife Erin, we went through some rough waters because of my wavering. But thanks to her, caring friends, grace, and mercy - God set me back up on my feet again. God is truly amazing.

Ministry/Education Background:

I’ve served in worship ministry since I was 15. There were a few years here and there where I focused more on honing my own, original music, but in all I’ve served in music ministry for at least 10 years and in youth ministry for at least 5 years. I never went to school for music despite my late band teacher urging me to do so; however, I did dedicate a great deal of my personal time to teaching myself things like music theory and music composition. In high school and for some time afterwards, my friends (who all happened to be guys from youth group) played our own, original rock music. We later integrated into a worship band in a great church that allowed us to hone our skills, not only as leaders in music, but also as youth leaders. Two years after I got married I was hired on as a worship leader at a fellowship church that facilitates a Christ-focused Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation and Treatment Center where my wife and I lead for 7 months until I was brought on board at TRBC. Aside from a high school diploma, the only education I’ve received is through my obsessive behavior about learning things that need to be learned or things that I want to learn.

Hobbies/Interests:

If I actually wrote a list of all of my hobbies and interests it would probably take the rest of my life to finish it. There’s so many things I like to do, want to do, or am interested in doing. And there’s new things everyday. I also just really like to learn stuff. I’m interested in nearly every kind of music instrument. I read about them to see how they work, how they’re made, what they can be used for, etc… I love recording and playing music of all kinds. I love spending time with people. I really enjoy acoustic jam sessions. I like hanging out with my wife. She’s just really cool and she’s like my best friend. I also love coffee. To top it all off, I really love my siblings and my mom. God has brought us all closer together than ever before. He is so good…

Stacy Scott - Connections Coordinator

Testimony:

I became a Christian at age 7 at Eastside Baptist Church in Gonzales.  I sat with Pastor David Davidson on the back of his pickup truck as he shared the Gospel and I accepted Christ.  It seems like I grew up in the church, whether Baptist or non-denominational.  I can't say that I've always stayed on the straight and narrow, but I have always had the love of God in me.

I married at age 18 to Steve Scott, who was also 18.  I think, after 26 years, you can say that we raised each other.  We have two children, Bobby, age 23, attending TSTC in Waco, Texas and Jacob, age 20, attending Victoria College in Gonzales, Texas.  Steve and I are also members of The River's Edge, the worship band for Two Rivers Bible Church, where Steve is the Worship Pastor.

Ministry/Education Background:

I attended and graduated from Gonzales High School and immediately entered the work force. I have been involved in Praise and Worship since I began singing in the choirs and ensembles, at all of the churches I attended.

Hobbies/Interests:

I really love traveling anywhere with my husband and/or family. We LOVE vacations!  I enjoy reading -- especially medical thrillers and murder mysteries.  I always try to figure out "whodunnit"...and sometimes I'm actually right!  I play volleyball, watch football and hockey, would like to go to a basketball game and hate baseball.  Steve and I are also "foodies" and our dream travel itinerary would be to eat our way through Italy and then maybe Greece. ;).
